Dear friends,
Orphans and needy hold a special place in my heart and I pray that the God never makes you, your beloved ones or anyone an orphan/needy. They are usually forced to grow older faster than their peers and bear a huge responsibility. If you are very unlucky and born in a war torn country like Afghanistan and to a poor family, then this responsibility increases immensely to an extent that it takes away your basic living rights.
Unfortunately, the current COVID-19 pandemic has brought an extra strain on these poor people’s lives. In Afghanistan most of the people earn during the day and consume the same money at night. They do not have savings or any other source of income. Staying in quarantine means that they will not be able to earn and as a result will not be able to bring anything home.
I am now campaigning for the 8th consecutive year to raise money for the poor and needy in North Afghanistan. These are families mostly recommended by people I personally know and qualify for your generous contributions. Just like every year, this year they will be waiting passionately to receive gifts from yourselves. I thank you all for your generosity over the past years and I urge you to increase your donations this time.
